A short story about a young Artist in Paris who discovers that he can make a daguerreotype image of his beloved but unwitting model and paint her perfect portrait from it. The story includes a description of the steps needed to process the plate. In a happy ending the young artist wins the heart of his beloved. The daguerreotype portrait and the camera are honorary adorned with flowers and placed on the couple's bedroom as a riminder of their happiness. Written anonymously in Danish/Norwegian by the first Norwegian photographer Hans Thøger Winther in one of his many publications: Ny Hermoder, et aesthetisk Ugeskrift.
