A plate vice for holding 2" x 3" plates. This fixes the plate in position so that the surface can be polished prior to sensitising. The plate is held by the four corners. This may leave marks on the plate. One corner is fixed in place and the other three can be tightened by wing nuts on the back. A plate is in position. The plate has part of a plate mark showing: a lamb and flag and a 30. Approximately D shaped wooden handle attached to wooden base.
