Landscape view of Rome, the castle and bridge of S. Angelo from the via del Banco di S. Spirito. An expanse of roadway in the foreground leads to the bridge in the centre of the image, with pavements on either side. The bridge has stonework parapets with statues along it, including Saints Peter and Paul at the end of the bridge, and angels. To the right a street lantern is suspended. Several tall poles, presumably flagpoles, are visible. The circular castle building has machicolations, several central windows, and is surmounted with a statue of the Archangel Michael.
