Det Nationale Fotomuseum (The National Museum of Photography) holds extensive collections of photography from 1839 until the present, among which is Scandinavia’s largest collection of daguerreotypes.
The backing consists of a piece of pressed wood, a layer of brown paper with "waffled embossing" and on top of that, what looks like a piece of french newspaper. The layers of paper are damaged, but it´s possible to read part of the newspaper-looking text: "PORTRAITS AU DAGUERREOTYPE / ÉXECUTÉS PAR / [...] DE GEORGES [...] / Artiste Peintre de Par[...]"
