Stenger trug sie in dem Zeitraum von 1906 bis 1955 zusammen. 1955 verkaufte Stenger seine Sammlung an den heutigen Eigentümer. 1985 kam die Sammlung als Leihgabe Agfa Foto-Historama nach Köln. 1997 wurde das Agfa Foto-Historama dem Museum Ludwig organisatorisch unterstellt. As part of the Collection Agfa Foto-Historama this object was on loan at Museum Ludwig from 1985 to 2005. In 2005 it was acquired as part of the Collection Agfa Foto-Historama with the support of the Kulturstiftung der Laender (Cultural Foundation of the German Federal States), the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the City of Cologne.
