Portrait of a family: a woman (Justine von Seidlitz, former Justine von Rauch), seated in the middle, with face turned slightly away from the camera and her two daughters (Justine and Helene von Seidlitz) standing and looking towards the camera. The woman wears a decorative lace-edged bonnet, a dark dress with long sleeves and lace cuffs, a white lace collar, a brooch and decorative ribbons crossed at the front. She has a ring on her finger and she sits on a upholstered sofa, resting her left arm on the carved armrest of the sofa. The girl to her right is standing and leaning her left arm on her mother's right shoulder. The other girl to her left is resting her elbow on the carved armrest of the sofa. Both girls are wearing earrings and identical checkered dresses with short sleeves. The image has a plain background, a small piece of curtain is to the right.
