The Theodor E. Ulieriu-Rostás Collection focuses on early photographic processes (daguerreotypes, ambrotypes), the history of photography of the Habsburg monarchy / Austria-Hungary and Romania, musicians and musical traditions documented through photography (illustrated on the blog Songs for the Camera Obscura). Other targeted interests include the reception of Greco-Roman antiquity in 19th c. photography, the early photographic record of Bucharest, reproductions of daguerreotypes in other photographic media.
