H.T. Winther's article written May 28th, defending his priority as the inventor of "light images on paper with natural lights and shadows" (lysbilleder paa papir med naturlig lys og skygge). He states that his description of the process had been described in a Declaration in August 1839, even before Daguerre's process become public. He describes exposure times of 0,5 to 2-3 min for the positive photogenic drawings without a camera and 15 to 40-50 min in a camera. He describes a range of image tones from black to brown-red and yellow-red and details showing cracked timber, bricks in walls and smoke from a chimney from a distance of 30-40 Alens (18-25m). Mentions also successful attempts reproducing lithographic and copperplate portratis to smaller, miniature sizes using a camera. Page 1.
H.T. Side 1.

In his article Winther is describing his direct positive on paper process, the first of his photographic process inventions. It was very similar to Bayard's paper based direct positive process which had been announced recently and therefore the events prompted him to publish this article and defend his priority as inventor. His photographic process as well as two other were finally published in his books in 1845 (one in Norwegian and in one German). The Declaration mentioned by him has not been discovered.
