Roofs and more modern buildings are seen in the left foreground. A two-wheeled cart is on the right. The three columns of the temple of Jupiter are in front of a depression in the ground (enclosed by fencing) surrounded by paths or roads edged with bollards and painted white stones. More carts in the middle ground. Beyond this are more paired columns, a long building beyond with bell-tower, and rooftops on the horizon. A weather-vane is seen on the skyline on the left.
